General Meeting for Sevier Citizens for Clean Air and Water(SCCAW)
SCCAW will host a general meeting this Thursday, November 17th at 7:00 PM in the basement training room (rear of building) of the County Administration Building, 250 N Main, Richfield.
Sevier Power Company is proposing an 880 MW Natural Gas Power Plant to be built in Sevier Valley, Utah.
Lets discuss our next moves to ensure our Clean Air and Water.
- Requiring state of the art pollution controls be in place and operation if the plant is built.
- Publish a study detailing the frequency and duration of atmospheric inversion events in Sevier Valley, Utah.
- Completing an environmental impact review on the Natural Gas drilling and fracturing required to supply this 870 MW plant.
