Sevier Power Company (SPC)
SPC has filed their application with Utah’s Division of Air Quality (UDAQ) on September 9. You may access the application at http://www.deq.utah.gov/businesses/sevierpower/index.htm Latest feedback from UDAQ indicates the department will conclude preliminary approval of the permit on or about the end of February. Following that will be a 30 day Public Comment Period. Public Land Managers have the first opportunity to comment. The entire process could take anywhere from 3 – 6 months. Please come and see what you can do to monitor this process and make your comments be heard. When this process is complete we want to assure ourselves that we have been granted the most stringent air quality standards achievable for our communities.
